Family Date Night

On Sunday the whole family went to see Beauty and the Beast 3-D.  We weren't sure how Thatcher would do since this would be his first movie.  We didn't take Samantha to her first movie until about 2 1/2 and Thatcher isn't quite 2 yet.

Surprisingly, Thatcher did really, REALLY good.  I think it helped that he had seen this movie before (1.2 billion times) and that we kept feeding him Whoppers.

After the movie we walked (and Samantha posed) down State Street.

Successful family date night!

Fantastic Haircuts

Both kids were long overdue for haircuts so on Saturday morning we took the kids to the only place we could think of that would take two kids, without a wait, and for cheap.  The choices were Fantastic Sams or Supercuts.  Which one do you think Sam chose?

I'm not going to lie, I was a little scared of how it would turn out but we could no longer see Thatcher's eyes and Samantha's hair needed some TLC.  Plus, I kept saying I was going to attempt to cut their hair which I'm sure would have turned out worse.

Excited for her first salon haircut (her previous two haircuts were done by my mom).
Getting ready for his 6th haircut in almost 2 years.

So handsome!

Healthy, even and beautiful!

And we were pleasantly surprised by the good job they did.  Fantastic Sams really was fantastic (and cheap and no wait)!

Lunch Date

Going to lunch with Thatcher can be both a joy and a challenge.

A challenge because you never know what he is going to take apart
or get into...

or what he might break...
or where he might go...
who he might bother...
or what he might climb...

until his food arrives and then you are safe...

until he is done....

Bedtime Routine

Sometimes bedtime stories by Mom or Dad just don't cut it and they want to watch a story on one of our phones.

Thatcher always falls asleep first

and then big sis.

Breakfast of Champions

After a fun sleepover with Connor last weekend we treated the kids to a "healthy" breakfast at IHOP.   We walked to the restaurant from our house, actually more like ran.  All three kids were beside themselves with excitement at the thought of PANCAKES!

Wait for me guys!

Sweetest picture ever!

Bowling with the Paskins

A couple weekends ago we went bowling with the Paskin family.  We left the two little boys at home with a sitter and had so much fun watching the girls bowl.  Check out their moves:

I had some great moves too, right?

Not to mention my awesome score.  Too bad you can't read that TV screen because you would really be surprised by how good I am ;)

In all honesty, the Paskins dominated with the bowling and in the arcade.  Mike won some fancy iPod thing from this video game which pretty much gave away that Sarah and Mike spend more time at Zodo's Bowling and Beyond than they are telling us.  It is okay to admit you are in a bowling league guys.  ;)
