All the things that happened in the middle of third and fifth grades:
Not the email you want right before spring break but hey, we live with Thatcher and I know what he's doing. ðĪŠð You tell him to read, he doesn't want to read. You test him on reading, he can read. ðĪ·♀️ Also, you give him something he is not interested in reading, he's not going to read it. Can he read it? Yes.
See, above benchmark for reading. Good enough for me.
Daily spelling exercises in 5th grade.
Sam is so sweet with the notes to Ms. Heffernan.
Math these days. ð
The good news is that Thatcher will focus if math is involved.
My math superstar!
Penmanship, not his strong point. But he's got a great conclusion!
As a transfer into Peabody, they will hold you accountable to being on time. Samantha didn't get one of these but Thatcher did. Just like reading when he feels like it, I learned he was walking into class after I dropped him off when he felt like it. ð
I fixed this problem immediately. ð
Samantha's love for Harry Potter held strong in 5th grade.
Samantha filled out her own progress report.
She gave herself straight Cs. ð
Side note: every year they seem to change the grading system at our school. Cs are good. ðĪ·♀️ðĪ
All Cs is also what her teacher gave her. And almost straight 3s with her reading test scores above 8th grade level. ðĪ
Thatcher got a few Ds. I've got to agree with those. ðĪĢ
But overall, not too much to worry about. ðð
