Keiki Paddle 2018

Samantha and Thatcher both participated in the Keiki Paddle last summer paddling from the Goleta Pier to East Beach to raise funds for the Solis family who had two boys with leukemia.

They put on the most popular lemonade stand around the corner from our house to date!

A Brazilian surf group happened to be coming up the Leadbetter ramp!

Lolo's uncle was the recipient of the first Friendship Paddle which is the "parent" fundraiser to the kid's Keiki Paddle.

Very efficient with restocking the lemonade.

I admit, it was half homemade half store bought because we didn't expect such a crowd. Pour quickly Lolo! 😬😂

Early morning wake up call to the boat.

Last year, Thatcher road on the boat passing out candy to all the kids. This year, he did the paddle. 🏄‍♂️

The previous year's Keiki Paddle was re-routed because of shark sightings. This year it was super windy and they were getting pushed backwards from the current so they got to have a little more boat time than usual.

The view from Leadbetter point.

They made it!
