Random May Photos

Pete experimenting with Thatcher's hair. Lately he's been keeping it long in the front so it swoops all the way to the side and super short in the back. It helps to keep the "Dumb and Dumber" bangs away that he gets when he refuses to put product in his hair.

I'm going to miss these solo lunch dates with Thatcher that we'd have while Sam was in school.

I thought it was so sweet that Thatcher fell asleep at the salon while I was getting my hair done. What I didn't know was that he had a chocolate bar in his back pocket (I still have NO idea where he got it) that melted ALL OVER the salon seat!!! I was mortified when he got up at first thinking that wasn't chocolate (yikes!). Luckily it all came out of the chair but who knew this sleeping angel was harboring a melted chocolate bar?!

I pulled Samantha out of class to help me put on an ice cream sundae party for the class jog-a-thon winners which was rewarded to her kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Mulligan's class. She thought she was hot stuff serving sundaes while she was supposed to be in class ;)

It never gets old taking pictures of sleeping kids during the day since naps are few and far between.

Samantha's latest sign on her door. How come I get to enter for laundry and daddy can for story time? No fair!

Todd and I crashed the Washington Elementary school fundraiser with our new neighbors which was 80's themed. Good thing I saved my Conair Hot Sticks. I KNEW they would come in handy one day!

Oh and Sam's makeup, perfect!

Last days of lunch at school

Soon I will get to visit BOTH of these two at lunch.

Speaking of kindergarten, Thatcher is going through an intense boot camp of Mommy Homeschooling to get him ready.

I'm proud of him for the progress he has made thus far. And I am proud of myself for sticking to it. Hats off to those who actually really do homeschool.

Samantha took track and field during the spring session after school programs.

Looks kinda fun ;)

Stretching with Coach Holbrook

Celebrating after their Track Meet.

Our friend Jill had a birthday party at the SB Tennis Club. While the kids swam,

we were involved in a pretty competitive tennis match.

My team came in last place. Todd's got second. I don't like tennis.

Sarah and Leanne hosted us at the Angels Foster Care event this year at the Biltmore. That is not a baby up for adoption like some were joking. It's the newest Pirrozzi, Baby Stella!

Fun dinner at the Matheson's house with these surfer/skater boys.

Sam and a giant bowl of noodles.

Lollipop.

And finally, a friend turned me on to the Dubsmash App. Don't download it unless you are prepared to waste A LOT of time.

Palm Springs Part 2

We celebrated Poppy Ron's birthday at Las Casuelas Quinta Restaurant.

Singing Happy Birthday to Panchito!

My birthday is the day after so Samantha kindly included me.

She also gave me a Starbucks gift card I had given her. I really need to teach her better about gift giving.  ;)

Each sentiment started with the letter of my name. I misplaced the "A" and I guess my most of the time healthy eating has sparked her to call me "nutritous"for those that can't read the innovative way she sometimes spells ;)

Every year I invite my daughter to my party ;)

Birthday dad and daughter.

Birthday silly selfies.

We said goodbye to the grandparents and headed back to the hotel for our last night.

We decided to brave the pool.

Quite a change from earlier that day.

Thatcher at this point was almost, ALMOST swimming. And of course some cannon balls.

Nice way to end the evening!

She's like me. Brings a new book on vacation. She's lucky because she gets to finish hers when she gets back home and as usual mine sits unread until we go out of town again...

On my way to the hotel gym in the morning I was pretty sure I spotted a penguin.

See!

Desert rabbits.

Breakfast in Palm Springs before heading towards home.

And going on a diet. Geez….

The hottest we saw it all week. 111!

A stop back at Grandma and Poppy's house.

Yummy dinner on the patio!

ice cream!

Not only did the kids get new scooters but Thatcher got a new bike!

Ready to head to Santa Barbara!

Oh wait, that's right, the plan was to leave Thatcher for the week.

That didn't go so hot at first.

He was glued to Todd and changed his mind about staying.

Until we took him to the dollar store for some toys (small bribe) and THEN we were able to return him to stay with Grandma and Poppy and the three of us headed back to SB. The ride and overall the entire week was VERY quiet without Thatcher ;)
