Peabody had their annual Sports Day where classes compete in different obstacle/skills events as well as a team sign contest. Guess who was volunteered to make the sign for Sam's class:
Yep, Todd. More on that later….
The day begins with a parade of all the classrooms wearing their team shirts and holding up their sign.
Samantha was so proud of the sign. Her teacher told her she could sit down several times but she refused.
All lower grade classrooms showed off their signs too. I'm not gonna lie, ours was clearly the best BUT I soon realized that it looked like the kids did their own classroom signs and ours looked professional. With that in mind, I realized Samantha's (and Todd's) dream of winning the sign contest was pretty far fetched.
The afternoon was spent doing various challenges.
Here's some video from the day which includes the sign parade, their classroom cheer and Samantha in action in various events which further confirmed the competitive spirit my little girl has.
Oh yeah, and about that sign contest…. The Electric Blue Butterflies beat out the Red Ninjas who came in LAST PLACE.
Note to Todd: Next year we need to have Samantha make the sign ;)
