Father Daughter Dance 2017

It was a Sock Hop theme for this year's Father Daughter dance!

How cute is this little number that we borrowed from a neighbor?!

Guess who took longer to get ready?

Meanwhile, my Mesa Cafe date, straight from a baseball game.

Surprise. Surprise. Look who joined later!

Thatcher's 7-Year Checkup

7-year well visit!

Our doctor's office needs an update SO BAD!

Other than that, his eyes and ears checked out fine.

57 pounds (75%)

Gained 7 pounds from last year.

And this is last year, apparently he likes this position on the scale.

50 inches (90%)

He grew 2 inches from last year.

The finger prick to test his iron.

He always likes to say, "I LOVE THIS PART!"

It's all an act. ;)

How's that finger, Thatcher?

Dr. Abbott and his Simpson's poster.

On second thought, maybe skip the remodel because they may take down the AWESOME decor! ;)

First Grade Student of the Month - Thatcher

Thatcher's turn for Student of the Month!

I've yet to fully surprise either kid with them not knowing they are getting an award. That cute little blonde in the photo, Layla, exclaimed, "THATCHER YOUR MOM'S HERE!" And just like that, another awards assembly where my kid knows they are getting one. Oh well.

Samantha skipped class to show her support.

Student of the Month for "Being Athletic". We'll take it! ;)

Video: Thatcher getting his award (I love how all the kids knew who it was just by Mrs. Howe's description)

After school McDonald's caramel sundae reward!

And a few bites for Lollipop because she had something to do with the award too. Not really, but she's part of the fam. ;)

Random March Photos

We locked Lollipop into the kitchen while entertaining in the other room and walked into this.

Naughty dog!

Not much eating going on when a game is on.

Tried to get these four boys to smile and pose for a picture.

I was most impressed with Jack who stood at attention smiling the whole time!

A standard find on my camera roll.

Dog-sitting Otis.

Lollipop is a grouchy old lady with puppies but deep down inside they loved each other, I think.

Quick business trip to LA means room service and uninterrupted breakfast.

And the kids were well taken care of by Grandma!

Cioppino Party at Duo.

Sweet Stella.

A "normal" night at the Pirozzi house.

They were crazy enough to host all these kids for a sleepover!

Rock, Paper, Scissors at Mesa Cafe.

I think Thatcher won but

Mike seems to be trying to convince the boys it was best two out of three and the boys aren't having it.

Lollipop is not a fan of the vet. And she especially wasn't after this visit having learned her total tooth extraction count was going to be up to 25!

Save me!

Please.

Anyone?!

MOM!

Watching their piano teacher Gus' band play at Blush.

It also happened to be St. Patrick's Day hence all the green!

Green-ish eyes.

Normally Blush isn't a place where you would take kids.

Later that night, corn beef and cabbage at Mesa Cafe!

And leprechaun drawings!

Off to the Peabody play!

Celebrating 40 for Victoria!

Surf check.

Spring Break kicked off in March and we spent the week off playing and relaxing in our own back yard.

Shoreline with friends.

Lunch with neighbors on their deck.

Surf day!

Thatcher's wet suit is SO hard to get on. It is a group effort.

Water break.

It's nice to see that our rocky neighborhood beach has since recovered to a ton of sand!

I probably should know what kind of bird that is. I love his hair!

After a long day at the beach, showered and walked down to the harbor for dinner.

More Shoreline Cafe. There's a pattern to what we ended up doing on Spring Break.

Windy afternoon at the Chesluck's house. I am obsessed with their umbrella!

And their backyard of course.

More of the daily routine.

We made time to fit in a little exercise.

More Shoreline!

More playdates!

My Boulder friends were visiting and their mom, Lee, had bought Holley's house! So here we are swimming at "Holley's" house.

So weird being there and it not being Holley's. See the new "playhouse" addition?!

Strange to see different furniture in the house too.

I love that we have remained friends with the Torviks after our chance meeting at our Pedregosa house over Thanksgiving many years ago.

Krista is someone that I feel like I've known forever.

Sushi dinner and the little kid behind Thatcher kept us entertained.

Brophy's for lunch and then what I thought was just tired kids, ended up being more. Neither of the kids felt well. That was a quick lunch.

Thatcher made his own behavior/chore chart. My guess is as good as yours as to what he was rewarding himself for.
