Thanksgiving 2017 kicked off with the annual Turkey Tango at Peabody. One lower grade and one upper grade would come out on top having the best moves, loudest voices and straightest line.
Here's second grade jumping up and down when they were announced the winners! Thatcher is the fourth kid in line.
Those are some happy kids who just won free time at P.E. as a prize.
And jumping up and down is also the 4th graders!
A little more subdued than the second graders but Samantha and Thatcher both won!
Char and Sam.
Char, Sam and Lolo. Sam's crew!
Yay second graders!
Thatcher's class and their big buddies doing a T-day art project.
On actual Thanksgiving we decided to do a little staycation at the Ritz Carlton Bacara because it seemed way better than trying to figure out how to cook a turkey. I did that one year and am still traumatized.
We stuffed ourselves at the never ending T-Day buffet brunch.
A 7-year-old's plate.
A 40-year-old's plate.
Thatcher must have taken 20 trips.
Per usual, Thatcher found a "vacation friend" and was occupied with playing catch the rest of the day and into the early evening.
Lollipop joined us later.
And we headed to the pool for some night swimming.
Lollipop and I cuddled up near the hot tub and supervised and took selfies.
Need to perfect Lollipop's selfie game.
At least he bathed. 🙈
Room service because the one negative of not cooking a Thanksgiving meal is there are no leftovers.
All cozy.
Breakfast.
Lollipop is REAL hard to have near food.
Another beautiful day!
More pool time.
And eating.
Lollipop proved that dogs really do target fire hydrants.
The beach was unwalkable with all the rocks but we checked out the view.
As we headed out through the lobby the staff was busy decorating for Christmas!
And here's the reaction when it was finally time to head back to reality.
