The Stone family made a visit to SB!
We miss them living here so much. 😢
Willa is too much!
Sweet little birdie on my car.
Levi turned 10!
Our dear friend Russ passed away in an awful tragedy which happened the same night we drove to LAX over spring break to catch the red eye to Cancun. Traffic was awful in Montecito that night and we had no idea that the cause of it was Russ. We learned of his passing on one of our last days in Mexico.
Holley arranged a memorial service for Russ at Hendry's Beach.
We heard so many wonderful stories about Russ from his friends and family. We laughed and cried and all left their feeling like Russ was free.
The kids and Todd participated in the paddle out to spread Russ' ashes.
Samantha and Thatcher loved Russ. He was a big kid and was so funny with them.
One of our favorite memories of Russ was when he used Thatcher in one of his film projects.
Angels Foster Care event at the Biltmore.
After-party at the Miramar.
Down below the deck bar we saw a proposal and then upon closer look we realized we all knew the couple! Congrats to Maggie and Matt!
Peabody friends supporting Stella at the annual dance performance.
All of Todd's Summerland buddies celebrating Marty's 50th!
Summerland Reunion!
Work travel to the bay area (when will I ever do this again?!!)
Was hoping I might bump into Martha. Doubtful she was staying at the Embassy Suites though. 🤣
Holley is the sweetest. Our team always arrives to gifts when we travel on our company trips.
Sadly the TSA considered my therapy dough liquid (really?!?!) and didn't let me fly home with it. I'm convinced that agent was stressed out and needed the therapy. Hope she enjoyed it.
It's not all work at our quarterly meetings. What's funny is our team has grown a lot this past year at Grey Matter and we have to do these meetings virtually now and they have no idea how much better these are in person.
Nightly face times with the family.
And making sure Todd has a handle on whatever plan I have set up to get the kids to and from wherever they need to be while I'm gone. Lollipop looks so comfortable 🤔
You've gotta photograph when you do your hair and makeup for work because as an already remote company, you don't have to do that much. Who knew less than a year later I would be having to do this because clients want to zoom! 🤪😩
Girls' trip to SY to spend some time with Leanne and her family.
Angela was now in hospice care at her home so Leanne used one of her vacation rental properties for family and friends to have a place to be while visiting.
I have a child who is so committed to finishing out goals she sets for herself and she took a break from playing with the other kids to do her stretches. She was hell bent on learning to do the splits by the end of the year. I'm afraid Sam got my genes with regards to flexibility, and that's not good. However, I can still pull off the right leg splits but then can't walk for a good two weeks after. 🤣
And it dances 🤯 And also has a built-in whoopee cushion 🤣
Greg took the kids out shooting. I was a nervous wreck but was assured that if anyone is going to safely teach your kids how to shoot a gun, it was Greg.
That gun looks so big to me. 😳
Wheelchairs and walkers are so fun for kids.
Fun stops on Club Soccer travel days. This was in SLO.
And Todd was definitely the driver on this one because stopping at IHOP with the kids is such a Todd thing!
Also exploring the area in between games is such a Todd thing.
My kids would probably say CPK is their favorite restaurant. There is something about their kid's pasta with red sauce that they think is way better than anywhere else!
After-baseball harbor bike rides and dinner.
I got a call from Peabody that Thatcher was having an allergic reaction. This appeared out of no where and we still aren't sure exactly what it was. It went away with Benadryl but each time he has an allergic reaction to something, they've gotten progressively worse. He looks like he got in a fight and lost!
New GSF loot arrived!
I'm either out of our house working because the housekeeper is there or waiting for my kids to be done with a sports practice. I do adore a fancy latte!
Still testing out cars after I had already sold our van.
The Chevy dealership in Santa Ynez is the best, they were so patient with me and delivered cars for me to try! I took one spin around our TJs parking lot with this tank and decided it was too big for me. I loved how comfortable inside it was but just felt so big/bulky for all the short drives I do.
This felt more sporty and manageable but I wanted racks.
And this one was missing the red accents but it had bells and whistles I now really wanted after driving it including a steering wheel that heats up, wireless charging and seats that both heat AND cool 😎😉). I can't begin to tell you how awesome this dealership was for dealing with me and all my "trading" back and forth!
Finally the right one was found and delivered. I got my racks and my bells and whistles (plus there are so many more that I discovered that I had no idea about too including that I can kick my foot in a certain place near the trunk and it opens automatically, so handy when your hands are full and you can't get to your keys!). AND I can park the darn thing at TJs (yes, I've hit another car in the SB TJ's parking lot before, most have or nearly have, I'm sure of it) 🤣
And I can still fit a gang of kids and whatever gear they drag in too!
Just driving in our hood and bumping into Samantha scootering herself home in her PJs from a sleepover. 🤗
We watched Ruby Chapman while her family was on vacation.
😂
It was nice to have some puppy energy, Ruby ran circles around Lollipop.
She was so sweet.
Her eyeliner is on point too!
Samantha and Mia working the Earth Day booth for the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation.
Sometimes it is easier to take the entire family so they can all get what they want!
Sam put this on my desk the night before her school performance and the night before I was leaving on a business trip.
We pulled it off (who knew keeping flamenco skirts was such a good idea?!) and a parent even taped her performance for me. Sam was so great with all the lines she memorized!
Besides CPK pasta, my kids love Whole Foods pizza slices. I agree with them on this one. Whole Foods does have good pizza!
I actually don't mind working the Pony baseball snack shack but I do mind when I get the 8AM shift and have not one customer. Not one kid came and bought bubble gum or licorice from me so I could flex my cash register skills. 😢
24/7 we will find a sport to watch. Supporting Gaucho anything is a must!
Celebrating a soccer win (my heart sinks when I think of all the games/fun we are missing this year, including basketball 😢) Sam's team has remained committed during the pandemic and has kept up training as best they can but we are missing the competitions, travel, hotel fun and the group of parents on our team.
I celebrated with her too!
How weird is it that SB got their first target in April of 2019?! And it wasn't that exciting given that it was a mini-version of their normal stores.
One of my pet rabbits. 😊
