Black Eye #2

Remember his first black eye?  I am really hoping this is the last blog post I do on black eyes.  Something tells me that after the recent tumble out of his crib and now this, we are in for it with Thatcher.  There have been several other incidences I have not documented including a pretty bad fall down our front porch stairs..... This most recent fall happened when he crashed into the baby gate.  Isn't the baby gate supposed to protect him?!?!?!

Thatcher's First Haircut

Since you could no longer see Thatcher's big brown eyes unless he had a barrette in his hair, we figured it was time for a haircut.  My parents made a surprise visit to Santa Barbara this weekend and Grandma made Thatcher more handsome than he already was. 

Crib Diving

Well, we made it 14 1/2 months before Thatcher decided to dive out of his crib.  Thankfully he didn't land on his head or break any bones.  Samantha waited until she was 20 months to do this and we ended up transitioning her to a toddler bed.  Thatcher is way too young for a toddler bed so the next best solution, CRIB TENT!

 

Reading stories before bed is a little challenging but other than that, he seems to like it and he is safe.  The main issue now is Samantha is jealous she doesn't get to camp every night like Thatchy does.....

Bookcase Photoshoot

I got this bookcase from a garage sale the other day.  $25 for a Ballard Design bookcase, how's that for a deal?!  Anyways, we had taken the shelves out to make it lighter to carry it in to our house and the kids started jumping in and out of it.  I tried my best to get a shot of both of them sitting next to each other with "normal" smiles.  Well, you can see that didn't work out.......

Even Lollipop wouldn't smile and hold still for the camera.....
