We took our annual trip with friends up to the Santa Ynez Valley for the New Year.
Only a half hour north of Santa Barbara and you are living the ranch life!
We pulled up to our home for the weekend which our fantastic, generous, amazing friends bought JUST for this occasion. I like to think that ;)
Welcome home to us!
We spent the day drinking good wine, playing cards, relaxing, spa-ing, drinking good wine, relaxing, laughing, drinking good wine….
WITH the most amazing group of friends.
Peek-a-Boo with Eleanora
Turns out, Sarah and I like Peek-a-Boo too ;)

We brought the hamster ball up for it's last hurrah.
I took this photo of the kids in the spa from our bathroom. (Sarah, notice how I say "our") ;)
Because, we were secretly hiding in the bathroom signing wine bottles for our fabulous hosts.
Hi Mike and Sarah!
For the best hosts ever!
So kind to share the good stuff with us ;)
I love these photos of Jack. Usually I am the one cheerleading but it looks like he stole my thunder this year.
Trying to remember the old days of piano lessons.
Elton John and Kiki Dee
Movie time!
Dinner time!
Cheers!
Somehow Jessie was buried in that first "Cheers" pic ;)
The men tending to the fire.
Roasting marshmallows.
Bedtime.
Morning!
(okay that was fake as I had them reenact going to bed and waking up)
Day two!

Feeding the Longhorns across the way.
Exploring.
New Year's Day run in the valley
Yes, I took a selfie with the alpaca or llama or whatever that animal is back there. He wasn't as into it as I was.
Yay, more funny animals!
Yay, more selfies!
Shooting hoops!
Cristal, yep, that's what Mike is opening. We all decided that we probably can't tell a difference between Dom Perignon, Cristal or cheap Cooks but it was fun to try ;)

Game time!
The next morning when Thatcher is purposely ignoring me when I tell him that we need to go home.
Jessie heard me.
She tried her best to get his attention ;)
Saying goodbye
Iced window in the morning!
Brrrrrrrr. I think that is the lowest I've ever seen the outside temperature in my car. And yes, I've had our car serviced since. ;)
Goodbye Left Hand Ranch!
Bye Reesie!
And I'll leave you with the polar bear plunge! ;)
