When the pandemic doesn't allow you to take a summer vacation you improvise.
We surprised the kids with a trip to Newport Beach. We couldn't fly. Most hotels had some sort of covid disclaimer/restrictions but Orange County felt open-ish. Best we could do!
They were excited!
Lollipop was excited since she got to go too!
Then she realized it wasn't a short drive.
She hates the car.
Took a while to get there with all the stops for Lollipop.
Made it to our original hotel only to be given a a room that would not work for Lollipop. We were supposed to have a ground floor patio room.
Diverted to a dog-friendly hotel with a ground floor patio room. Lollipop is very particular.
Everyone finally began to relax.
