The best 7-week summer camp! Especially if you live on the Mesa 🙌😎
Who knew it would be the LAST time East Beach JGs would ever be the same in format AND price?! It's still not back to normal in 2021. Fingers crossed for 2022!
I have to do random checks to make sure they bike to camp and not the Harbor Market to get candy for breakfast. I make them wait until after guards. 😜
Not very good listeners regarding "bike parking"
First day. Swim test.
Thatcher rocked it coming in 14th out of all the Cs!
Samantha cruised in.
Joey, on Thatcher's right, is so helpful during JGs. He motivates Thatcher to be more confident in swimming. And Thatcher's baseball buddy, Sam, is a natural athlete.
Once he gets through the first day, it is smooth sailing!
Samantha already has a 6-pack. By the end of 7-weeks she gets an 8-pack. They need a parent version of JGs so I can get in shape. 🤣
The Carpinteria competition is my favorite. I love the beach, the town and how excited the kids get to compete by the time this one comes around. They are all more confident and stronger 💪
Sam's map of where to be!
5th out of all the C girls in long run!
A nice way to end the day at Carp beach!
Always prepared for the Fiesta competition.
Getting ready for the distance paddle.

Thatcher did the "unofficial" paddle relay.

Why he didn't make the "official" team.
Love how proud he gets!
That's Thatcher leading the pack in the run/swim/run. He has to be in the lead at some point. It all goes downhill when he hits the water. 🤪
Only Thatcher would come into the finish line and do this.
Run relay.
Stud Ironman!
Sam and Sage.
I may have had to bribe Thatcher to finish the Stud Ironman. A good percentage of kids quit.
Not this guy!
A cool new hat is the reward.
P.S. How tan is Sam?
Spying. 😎 or helicopter-mom-ing. 🤣
I put both names on all our JG shirts so they can share. We have so many. 🤷♀️
A small group were chosen to compete at the regional competition, which happened to be held locally in Carpinteria this year. Full disclosure, it was the same weekend as the junior olympics for water polo, so my kids were picked as the second string. 🤣 Although, Samantha CAN hold her own with the water polo players with her paddling and running. Swimming not so much.
Those funny hats are to differentiate the JG teams in the competition.
Paddle relay.
I could tell both my kids were nervous. This was like the best out of each program competing.
I can't remember what they placed but the fact that they did was awesome!
I wasn't sure how Sam would match up against the top flag girls.
She got out right before the top ten with a gash in her knee. Thankfully a lifeguard was there to bandage her up. 😊🙃
JGs at Rincon for the day.
