Growing Up

Our Samantha is growing up (so quickly)! She learned to tie a shoe and she is reading!  Nap time has now been replaced by quiet time.  I must say, we had a good run at naps, she kept them up until 5 1/2.  Every once in a while she still falls asleep but most nap times are spent in her room coloring, reading or playing on the iPad.  Pretty soon she will be coming home from Kindergarten and while Thatcher is napping (fingers crossed he will keep them up as long as her), Samantha can work on her homework.

She is very proud of her shoe tying ability.  She will tie any shoes, anywhere.  Don't feel like tying your shoes? Ask Sam.

A video of Sam's new skills ;)

Happy Birthday Todd!

A couple weeks ago we celebrated Todd's birthday.  First stop, sushi!

Next stop, bowling!

I sort of look like I know what I am doing in these photos but frankly I suck.  Every time I go bowling I think I can't possibly get any worse and I do.

Over and over again the ball would be heading for a strike and at the last moment curve right into the gutter.

Thatcher was on fire getting spares and strikes.  This was his first time bowling.  He loved everything about it especially the shoes.

Thatcher, the 3-year-old, was killing us.

I decided to get lessons from Thatcher with the hope of not coming in last.

The lesson didn't work and the birthday boy just inched out over Thatcher for the win.

My skills were better in the arcade.

The kids turned in all the tickets I won for an inflatable sword (which was popped before we even got home), an inflatable guitar (which was popped shortly after we got home), 2 sparkling rings (that we can't find) and a princess tattoo.  Big winners!

Final stop, Yogurtland.

Happy Birthday Hot Toddy!

4th of July 2013

Our Fourth of July was truly one of the best we have ever had. The Paskin family hosted an over the top red, white and blue soirĂ©e complete with bounce house for the kids, lots of yummy food and drinks, fireworks and exercising....  yes, exercising.

See, exercising.

Oh and cheerleading.

Planking contest.

Our kids clearly think we are nuts.
