Lifting weights during an afternoon swim playdate with friends.
Love all the meal making services out there these days. I think this was Sun Basket or Home Chef or Green Chef.... can't remember but super good!
Bess brought her new puppy, Sally, to pilates.
She balanced on the megaformer the entire time, it was so cute!
Shoreline kind of afternoon with friends.
Which turned into an evening happy hour as more friends gathered.
Post-soccer game lunch at Lure.
And then a stop at the Pirozzi's....
Which ended in leaving all the kids with Gumpy Joe (Adam's dad) and out downtown we went with friends!
The kids were invited to participate in a football clinic with former NFL players that was won at our friend's school auction.
Can't remember who the NFL football players were but I love that Sam will attack any sport.
Lazy beach days.
Love to watch kiddos from our kitchen window playing soccer (on dead grass).
BBQing!
These two are like caged monkeys.
Band practice.
KK LOVES Lollipop and vice versa.
Weekend bike ride.
Past the zoo!
And to the Biltmore. This guy was hoping not to ride further than Brophy's ;)
A stop at the stretching station. Yes, there is such a thing.
And then back home which was challenging with the tourist surreys along the way.
Beach day well earned that day!
The (illegal) beach bon fire seemed like a good idea at first.
The fire was put out about five minutes later as it started to get giant and smoky and really not a good idea with some of the little kids...
Pizza delivery to the beach!
The beach days in September were some of the best this year. Super heatwave!
Video shoot with the Grey Matter team for our 10-year anniversary.
There is lots of downtime in filming.
Thankfully we were well stocked!
Being interviewed on camera is super awkward. I haven't seen the output of the interview and I am fine with that ;)
I brought home the "E" and "N" balloons for the kids from the shoot. We lost the "T" to spell "TEN" when it accidentally got loose and was long gone in the Santa Barbara sky.
Dinner date with Lolo and Sam at Rose Cafe. Not sure we will ever go back, we all felt horrible after eating there.
M. Special family event.
Scavenger hunt and sleepover for Blake's 8th birthday.
Lolly HATES baths. Her face in all these pictures makes me laugh.
Love finding little notes that Sam writes and leaves for Fairies in the garden.
Purse shopping with Thatcher. He's my model.
This is NOT my ice cream. Todd sent me this.
San Clemente with the GMM crew.
Room service. Perk of work trips!
There's a little touristy spot across from the train station that I hang out at before taking the train back to SB.
View is great but everything else is so-so. I'd probably choose another restaurant when in town but this one is steps from the train station and I am always worried I am going to miss the train.
This is the train station in San Clemente. Just you and the tracks.
I have taken this trip several times now and it is crazy how there is no train in sight until the EXACT minute it is supposed to arrive.
You literally have 30 seconds to hop on and it takes off.
I seriously love the train for work travel. It is a LONG ride but business class is really nice, WI-FI works great and you can get a lot of work done.
My friend Brianna hosted a Back to School happy hour for moms. So fun!
Kimmie, Sarah and I thought it was a good idea to continue on to the Cliff Room afterwards. There was some good people watching and a lot of laughs, that is for sure!
We hosted a dinner party with the Paskin and Matheson families. Apparently these kiddos got into the eye black.
The next day called for Brophy's and I am noticing that Thatcher is in the EXACT same clothes with the eye black on still. Rough night.
We continued the fun at Shoreline and look who we found?!
With my new van, I promised myself I would get a car wash every 1000 miles. I still haven't found a car wash place I really like in town. This one takes FOREVER. At least there is a paper to read comics.
Sam showing off her new Gwendolyn poem shirt. Get yours here!
Killing time at the dentist.
Thatcher got his cracked tooth fixed.
Admiring Sarah's new kitchen remodel. So fun!
Sam learned to ride her bike with no hands.
Video: hands-free!
We can't get enough of Brophy's downstairs on the weekends.
Late night bike ride home.
The neighbors came over to help make special decorations for Gwendolyn's grave site.
These three.
These four!
And while we were taking photos, the kids made a gigantic mess making hot chocolate and playing with hair chalk. Lesson learned.
Video: Lollipop was not a fan of the heatwave in September. We spent many walks like this trying to calm her down and I'd end up carrying her home.
Video: And this is what five girls look like when they find out they are headed to Hurricane Harbor!
Getting ready for Halloween
Boo!
Thatcher's surfer chalk art.
