Peabody's Jog-A-Thon is the annual event I help put on.
We get the kids excited about a month in advance with prizes.
I force my kids to do a video to raise money from family and friends.
So thrilled. 🤣
And then the day of the actual event we had to cancel because of flooded fields. I also learned not to come up with the theme for the event based on the date which was supposed to be Valentine's Day. The heart theme including the date of the event on the shirt were a little off-brand. 🤦🏼♀️🤷♀️❤️
After canceling an additional time, we finally had a reschedule date that was going to work, although a bit stormy looking.
Mr. Holbrook, the leader of our PE team, is the heart of this event.
I'm in charge of company/family sponsorships and will slap your name on anything for $. 😉
With sponsorship money and fundraising that begins in advance, we usually are way above 100K prior to the event but we like to keep the suspense going throughout the day.
It's such a happy day!
Lila in second grade.
Fletcher, Peabody's therapy dog, runs too!
Mrs. Craviotto's third grade class ready to run (Thatcher is so shy.) 🤣

Some parents really get into it!

Our awesome principal!
Not as smiley as you near 40 minutes of running. 😬
Done!
Mason and Sam.
Before
After.
Later in the month is the awards assembly.
Both Fallon kids taking first place in their grade levels.
38 laps!
42 laps!
Samantha had the most laps in the entire school for a girl making it her second year in a row with this title earning her a giant Slurpee!
We raised over $110,000.
Lots and lots of prizes for all levels of fundraising and running.
We drag out the awards/fun for the kids throughout the month including a "day off" of school with special guests. This time we had a BMX bike show.
Along with Kona Ice!
And here's some video from all the events!
