For some reason BOTH kids were overly excited to get flu shots this year and it was all because of the lollipops (and they were even sugar-free ones). They fought over who could go first. I swear, they both were enjoying the shots!
I think they were partly excited for the lollipops since they had sold all their Halloween candy the day before and the other part is a good reminder that it is the little things that count in the lives of a child. They will trade a flu shot for a lollipop because a lollipop, a stick of gum, a plastic army man or a trinket they got from the quarter machine at the drug store is what they are after (at least for now.....).
