Car Wash

The weather has just been too good here in Santa Barbara. It made for a perfect day to do some car washing a couple weeks ago.

Which eventually turned into nude car washing since we are doing some potty training boot camp over here.

So far so good on the potty training front.  Thatcher will go both #1 and #2 on the big potty.  For awhile now we have been pretty persistent about making him go when he wakes up and he always goes before bathtime.   At night he has already figured out how to prolong the bedtime routine and begs to go "poo poo on the potty", how can we say no?  Especially when 9 times out of 10 he actually goes. 

We have had our fair share of accidents though.  The biggest one being around Thatcher's second birthday when we left Thatcher with my dad so my mom and I could run to Costco real quick.  To Thatcher's credit, he actually got up from his nap to go #2 on his own.  That was the good part.  The not so good part was that he didn't make it there in time, so only a small portion of "it" made it in the toilet.  The rest was a horrendous mess in the bedroom.  I am talking HORRENDOUS!  And you can just imagine the phone call I received while in Costco from my dad.  Hi Poppy!!! :) 

 Oh and I should mention that on the car washing day he decided to pee in our car....

We obviously still have a ways to go

but we are headed in the right direction :)
