Kindergarten Graduation

Samantha's kindergarten class had a very sweet graduation ceremony.

They sang this sweet song.

Handed out "diplomas"

Mrs. Mulligan put together a very special slide show and sent each of the kids home with a DVD.

We sat and looked through the awesome memory books each of the kids put together.

We took home the last of the artwork.

Such a great first year of elementary school, Samantha!  Looking forward to first grade but first we are enjoying the summer break (and not having to rush out of the house so early each morning) ;)

Kindergarten Beach Day and Father's Day Sing

The last field trip of the year was a trip to Leadbetter Beach with all of the kindergarten classes.

The afternoon ended with a Father's Day Sing for all the Dads!

Another year older...

Turning another year older isn't so bad when you get to celebrate with this amazing group of friends!

My fellow June 1st birthday buddy! If only I were younger than him...

I've celebrated 16 birthdays with my best friend!

Thank you everyone for helping me celebrate another year somewhere in my 30's ;)

State Street Mile

Our family ran again in the State Street Mile this year.

Our determined six-year-old was adding on another leg of the race this year by competing in both the 14 and under category and the family mile.

This was last year at the same tree, they've grown so much!

Warming up!

Samantha was beyond thrilled when her buddy Fallon arrived to join her in the race too!

So SO proud of our girl!

She was the fastest six-year-old out there.

After her race, we ran back up State Street to join our friends for the family run.

Speaking of growing, look a these two from last year.

I started running with Todd and Thatcher and then tried my best to catch up with Mike and the girls but geez they were running too fast!

I finally made it close to Samantha who was sprinting to the finish line!

By the time I made it through it was about 8:00 minutes so Samantha did a sub-eight minute mile for her second run!

The walk back home for Samantha was not as fun as the walk there as she had just clocked in over 4 miles that morning between go down and up State Street.

Here's some video from the day:
