Random April Photos

My favorite running partner complete with headband, sling and lots of sass.

Speaking of running, these two have become pretty good runners. Faster than me for sure!

Santa Barbara boy.

Santa Barbara girl.

How we spent our Spring Break.

Lots of yoga on the beach.

Playing in the waves

and the sand.

Nappers.

Beggar.

Bubblegum.

Thatcher has been doing his own hair in the morning before school. He uses water and his hands to shape this sweet combover hairdo. So proud of him. ;)

Samantha put red hair chalk in Thatcher's hair before his baseball game. At least it matched his uniform.

The dress rehearsal for our Paint and Pour fundraiser.

This was Todd's demo painting that he whipped up the night before.

Not bad for a test run.

And the actual event!

The hostesses

All the practice paid off because the event went off without a hitch and raised a lot of money for the school all while having fun ;)

All the mamas after lots of pouring and little painting.

After soccer dinner with this crew.

Friday dance party during lunch.

I love that Samantha is the first on the dance floor and the last to leave. She has not a care in the world dancing in front of the entire school.

My phone ran out of space so this is all I have but imagine these types of moves going strong during every song. Oh yeah, she's got some moves for sure ;) I slowed down the clip so you can see exactly her process.

I promised Thatcher I'd take him to the new 7-11 that opened up in town for a slurpee. You would have thought I took him to Legoland he was so excited.

Samantha made a birthday card for her kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Mulligan. She taped a pencil and eraser that Mrs. Mulligan had given her to it. Obviously Sam still has a lot to learn about gift giving ;)

Goodbye old house but hey nice paint job! ;)

Samantha is thrilled for her friend and fellow Linda Vega dancer, Ysabella, who was crowned Junior Spirit of Fiesta 2015.

Samantha and I got to see all of the girls dance.

Perhaps these two will be on stage in the near future trying for the title?

How our family dinners look.

Julie is always our plus one.

It makes someone happy so it's fine she is sitting ON the table.

A Saturday pick-up soccer game at Shoreline for Samantha.

Kaya turned 7!

Holding the newest Pirozzi.

Welcome to the world Baby Stella.

Kickball with the boys again...

Lazy Lollipop

And upon closer look, the placement of her toy made her look like a squirrel!

And upon closer look of the alphabet puzzle I got Thatcher, I guess I bought him the Spanish version. The good news is that Thatcher pointed out the extra letter so at least he is paying attention ;)

Sweaty girl after Track and Field.

Friday pizza with these two.

Whenever the kids are home with a sitter we come home to Samantha in the bottom bunk because she wants to read Thatcher to sleep.

My running route has certainly changed for the better since we moved!

Sunrise runs.

Not sure if I love living closer to these killers though ;)

A night out at The Goodland with friends.

Lunch date with this cutie.

Where we discovered the curliest fries at Summerland Beach Cafe.

After soccer sushi.

After school swim playdate with friends.

Friends with cool cars.

These three.

Reese and Sam looking like sweet sisters here.

Talent Show

Last year, as kindergarteners, Samantha and her friend Ashley sang at the talent show.

In case you want to relive "Let it Go" from that night: Peabody Talent Show 2014

And this year, on our way to soccer practice one afternoon with a carpool of four 1st graders, Pitbull's song "Fireball" came on and they all four decided they were going to dance, sing AND play air guitar. Three out of the four girls didn't know what an air guitar was so it was funny hearing the one who suggested it explain it with, "well, we all have a built in air guitar, you just have to know how to use it."

Fast forward to the day of the tryouts and this is Samantha waiting to go play the piano sans friends. Long story short, Spring Break happened and then tryouts were the following week, there was no practicing of said Fireball routine even though I did fantasize about teaching the girls an awesome dance routine ;)

Here she is at at the tryouts where they could not find the bench to go with the piano so she was seated a little low and Samantha sort of scoots around on the bench to reach all the keys so I'd say it wasn't her best performance. And then, Gus our piano teacher, came over before the actual show and gave her some performance tips like bowing and to wait for the applause in between the two songs she was going to do.

Nervous girl! She told us after the show that her teeth were shaking and so were her legs!

She did awesome despite the lower keys on the piano being out of tune and a few wrong notes but she just kept going like Gus said. Oh and we did bring our own bench but low and behold they found a bench!

These two reunited for a picture. Ashley was super brave and kicked off the show and sang by herself.

She sang in K, piano in 1st, what are the chances I can get her to do a flamenco routine next year?

So proud of Sammy! (and I added a clip from a second grader who last year did an Elvis routine that was a crowd favorite. This year he did an equally impressive routine. Had I not ran out of space on my phone I would have recorded the whole thing) ;)

Easter 2015

Easter egg dying with friends.

Writing and posting notes on the wall for the Easter Bunny.

He must have liked his notes because he made a special visit the next morning.

Egg hunt!

Thatcher found a golden egg. (His outfit is killing me!)

Sam found one too.

After the Easter Bunny fun, we headed to Peabody for a boot camp/yoga workout with friends.

Then over to the Strong's beautiful new home for Easter brunch with friends.

Peeps race!

Don't leave your phone unattended when Sarah is around ;)

Happy Easter!
