Christmas Eve Eve

The night before Christmas Eve brought special presents from Auntie Holley.

New Christmas jammies

And always a favorite gift, a pack of gum!

Thatcher was so excited about his new pajamas that he wore them to Harry's!  Samantha saved hers for Christmas morning and chose to wear her sleepover Hello Kitty jammies from Reese's party.  Todd and I wore our footie pajamas.  Nahhh, that would be silly (and weird)!

Best butterscotch sundae in town!

I'm glad our neighbors on the other side of the booth were nice ;)  They must have liked his new monster pajamas. Thanks Hols!

And cheers to Harry's on Christmas Eve Eve, it was pretty happening that night.  Perhaps a new tradition for our family!

Reese's Sleepover

Reese had a 5th birthday sleepover with her best girlfriends.

I'll be honest, Samantha was a little nervous.  She has had several sleepovers since she was pretty little with her friend Connor at his house and has stayed the night at both grandparents' houses but as she has gotten older, she has gotten more afraid of being away from us.  She is more than happy to have a friend stay at our house though.

This guy on the other hand.... Thatch, the girls won't let you in dressed like that!

They received matching jammies, toothbrushes, sock monkeys and played lots of games.

They watched movies,

and enjoyed sweet treats (and I am pretty sure they stayed up late).

In the morning they had rainbow pancakes (Sarah, you are super mom)!

I can't wait to see more pictures.  Happy Birthday Reesie Girl and thank you for getting my Sammie comfortable with sleepovers again!  Now who wants her for the night???  ;)

Holley's Holiday Party

We look forward to Holley's holiday party every year.

Every detail is perfect.  The food (she makes it all herself), drinks, service (yep, she hires servers and a bartender and a photographer this year too!) and a great group of friends and new friends are some of the highlights.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the party:

I love this picture of Holley, so cute!

And we've been friends, holiday partying and working together for a long time now, as you can see ;)

TK In December

The one sentence that Samantha can write on her own is popping up everywhere, "I see the cat."

Loving the curly-Q fives :)

Holiday artwork

Holiday crafts

Lucky for Thatcher, he was there with me to help that afternoon.

Dressed as an angel for the Holiday Sing

I must have had one too many cups of coffee that morning because this video is a shaky one.  And as luck would have it, when all of the TK and K students entered the auditorium, my guess of where to sit wasn't a good one because I could barely see Sam (she is right in front of the music teacher).  Oh well, it was cute in person :)

He's a Performer!

The Nutcracker

A few weeks ago Samantha and I had a girlie date with friends to go see the Nutcracker at the Arlington Theatre.

First stop, lunch at Petros.

At just two years old, it was Lila's first time to the ballet.

I heard some whispers between Reese and Samantha wondering when Barbie Nutcracker was going to appear as well as a reference to Princess Jasmine and Aladdin during the Arabian dance performance.  Thus, the Nutcracker storyline is not entirely understood yet but we had great seats and the girls did a pretty good job of making it through the entire show although I think little Lila fell asleep.

A fun afternoon that we've done two years in a row now.
