There was finally an act coming to the bowl that Samantha was excited to see and all the rest of the SB tweens...... Katy Perry! And even better, Katy, born and raised in Santa Barbara, would donate the proceeds to those affected by the Thomas fire and Montecito mudslides.

Katy gave away "Cito" Beanie Babies to all the kids who entered the bowl which were created by Ty Warner, Montecito resident, to honor the victims and survivors of the mudslides.
My kids rarely drink soda but always want it as a treat but then always make this face when they actually swallow it.

About 10 years ago I took our neighbor at the time, Sofia (now our #1 babysitter), to see Katy Perry at the bowl when she was Sam's age and now I got to take Sam!
