Kaaboo 2017

For the second year in a row, a group of friends got together for the Kaaboo music festival in Del Mar this past September.

The lineup was AMAZING! Even better than last years.

This year I had a business trip ahead of the festival so I didn't get to ride the bus down with all the girls. So I pre-partied on my own which definitely is not as fun as all the pictures I was receiving.

I did, however, get to meet up with Filaree who was also flying into San Diego since she moved out of SB recently.

The chain of events getting from the airport to the rental house is something you'd have to be there to see but for some reason the owner of our rental house really wanted to be our Uber drive. Apparently she just started to drive Uber THAT day and asked for us to "uber" her when we arrived. This was all coming from one of the other gals in our group. Well, you can't really choose your uber driver, it's random. Long story short, we called her, she picked us up and then was hoping for the app to magically select her rather than us just paying for her like a normal taxi. Of course that didn't work out.

And then somewhere between her taking us to her house, and the others arriving to the house ahead of us, the trip took a turn. Basically, the house was a SHIT hole. Sorry, that's the best way to describe it. It was a giant tract home that hadn't been cleaned yet. Last year we stayed at a beautiful house near the water but it was a little far from the venue so we opted to stay closer and well, we learned that pictures/reviews don't always do VRBOs justice.

There were 13 girls and a concert that was about to start so it was sink or swim and between a whole lot of laughing and some tears, we got the heck out of the house and made our way to the concert.

New mesa hat!

Okay so some acts are random and bad but still entertaining like Shaquille O'Neal.

There's always good people/outfit watching.

Cara's fanny pack holster should win some sort of award.

Lunch is just finding a spot and making it work!

Weezer!

Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Late night nachos that don't look so great.

Refueling for day 2!

The owner of the house promised to clean the house while we were at the concert the night before but Ginny didn't think she did a good job. And she was right, she didn't.

Let's just say that most of us spent our time outside where we thought it was safer until it was time to leave for the fairgrounds.

Del Mar racetrack.

Giant Jenga.

Our head housekeeper cleans up well.

We all tried to figure out the proper way to wear a bandana at a festival.

I can't remember who this is but if we are this far back, we didn't care that much. And the moms of tweens are taking video so it was someone for their kids ;)

Brady is FUN at concerts! ;)

Pink!

I'm not really a fan but she definitely was impressive.

Quick birthday celebration for Victoria on Day three.

We had to send Vic a photo of us celebrating her birthday because she was smart and found the other group of friends staying at a way nicer place and stayed with them the night before.

And then back at it again!

And bumped into more friends!

Sara and the birthday girl!

David Spade was so funny!

Tom Petty! And sadly he died just a couple weeks later. :(

While we loved the concert, we couldn't wait to get out of the house!

The bus ride there is definitely more fun than the ride home, but still fun!

Fun but quiet ;)

And here is a video of all the acts that I got to see.
