Halloween 2012

Batgirl and Batman

Trick-or-Treating with friends on the Mesa (thank you Paskin Family!)

After about a week of candy, I let them each keep five pieces and the rest they sold to a local dentist.

Cash for Candy is a great program, they send the candy to the troops overseas and the kids get $2 a pound for their candy.

The kids earned $5 each from the dentist plus a $10 gift from my parents so they had $15 each to spend how they wanted at the toy store.

Thatcher is still wearing his Batman belt over a week later and Samantha is looking festive in her flamenco outfit.

Two happy kiddos!

Crazy Hair Day

On Halloween, Sam's school had Crazy Hair Day.  Who knows why they just couldn't dress in their Halloween costumes which I thought would be more fun.  Maybe Crazy Hair Day is less of a distraction in class??  I found the rule a bit annoying since we had to come up with two outfits for that day but I am finding that there are a lot of public school rules that are annoying, I need to get over it because we've got a long road ahead ;)  Oh well, Sam found this just as fun.

Here she is, looking a little Katy Perry-esque:
