Random October Photos

I took these two for a treat after Panther Pacers Running Club and they wanted to know what all the other kids are always drinking at Starbucks/Coffee Bean. Neither one could finish it. My guess is they aren't as good without any coffee ;)

Speaking of the running club, to hit 26.2 miles before the end of the season, they had to log running hours outside of class. Any chance we had, including after soccer practice in the dark, we'd run home.

Sadly, both kids missed the marathon goal by ONLY ONE MILE! We weren't keeping track and with too many sick days on the actual running club day, they were a bit behind.

Selfie with Roxy Dog. She's always smiling!

Todd is the Clark Griswold of not only Christmas but Halloween too!

A new favorite hangout, M. Special. Good beers, food trucks and family friendly!

It rained!!!

I'm positive these two are in rain boots way too small but when it rains this little in California, you grab whatever boots you can find to jump in puddles!

Family run!

Lolly soaking in the sunshine.

Girl's Night Out to see a comedy show.

Gretchen, from the Real Housewives of Orange County, was the host. She was a bad as you would think she would be at standup comedy.

Her boyfriend, Slade, was equally as bad.

This didn't stop me from becoming "friends" with them.

Bella turned 8!

Watching the sunset at Shoreline Park.

A fun night in Venice for Leanne's birthday.

Lovin' Spoonful with the Paskin crew. (And Thatcher being a goofball.)

Christian turned 6 with a party at Cloud 10!

Classmates in kindergarten and all split up in 1st and 2nd grade. Maybe back together in 3rd? Hopefully!

Tree hugging on a field trip to the Botanical Gardens.

More miles. I swear it is hard to believe we were short ONE mile!

Must have gotten a good book at the library this week because she wouldn't put it down.

Crashing the Pirozzi house late night for pizza.

Watching these three outside the kitchen window get ready for baseball and softball.

Seriously. I am kicking myself for not making them run one more mile before the end of that class because they worked so hard!

Lollipop turned 9 and exchanged photos with her buddy, Rocco Pirozzi.

A scoop of peanut butter for a birthday treat. It was actually Trader Joe's peanut butter WITH flaxseed.

We had to quickly swab the peanut butter out of her mouth because she was choking. Must have been the flaxseed.

Thatcher had his classmates make Lollipop cards for her birthday.

Both kids had fevers on and off in October which meant a lot of missed school. I kept calling it the Peabody Plague. They had no other symptoms but fevers and they were never sick at the same time. I was getting calls from the school nurse weekly to pick one or the other up. I'd send one kid back to school and "ring, ring" it was the nurse again asking me to pick up the other kid....

Creating art on the beach.

Lollipop in the sand X's 2!

We were introduced to what "Getting Booed" was this Halloween. We had a lot of Ding Dong Ditchers this month and were introduced to what getting "Booed" was. Samantha went out with friends "Boo-ing" and poor Thatcher felt left out so Todd took him out to do some "Booing" on his own.

Not sure we ever discussed this Paskin family ;)

We could have just gotten the kids Halloween costumes at Petco and it would have been easier.

An example of the odd arrangements we find in the shower after Samantha uses it.
