Our Cabo trip continued with more of the same which was eating, drinking, swimming, relaxing, eating, drinking, swimming, relaxing. Hit repeat. You get the idea.
You can't really tell but the waves on the beach were HUGE! Swimming was highly discouraged. Warnings were posted every where that the riptide was too strong. We saw a handful of people get saved while we were there and with no life guards on the beach it was pretty scary. Most locals who were roaming the beach only whistled to alert someone at the resort that someone needed to be saved as they were not going in themselves! I am pretty sure that the "life guard" that finally received the message that someone needed to be saved (it was like the game Telephone one afternoon watching this all go down) was the same kid who was performing on stage that evening for the guests and also the person checking in people at the front desk. The workers at the resort were wearing MANY hats. While we were there, a guest at the neighboring resort did drown. Next time you see Todd give him a talking to because HE went body surfing twice in those waves although he assured me he knows how to swim in those conditions. Still scary I think!
Samantha met a friend named Hanna. Hanna was 8 years old despite being so petite compared to Samantha. Her family was from the LA area and we had fun getting to know her family the short time we were there.

Thatcher liked to get his picture taken in the game room with Spider-Man every single time we passed by. I have this exact photo a dozen times.
Cute towel whale with the remote.
The mini-bar was fully stocked with every drink you can imagine. Mirinda was Thatcher's choice for this particular day.
Yes Thatcher, it's THAT bad for you.
Yes Thatcher, sugar DOES taste good!
The standard routine included cocktail/mocktail hour pre-dinner.
Bring on the Shirley Temples!
Look how much better Todd and I handle our drinks ;)
I have to say, letting loose and saying "yes" to all this fun for your kids was pretty cool. PLUS, they are not at your own house to make a mess. That made it even better!
Ever since Fiesta, Samantha has turned into quite the dancing machine ;)
Thatch is in a sugar coma pre-dinner.
But quickly snapped out of it once he visited the dessert bar.
Sam was equally excited about her selection from the dessert bar.
I must say, these cookies were pretty darn good.
They melted in your mouth like cotton candy with chocolate in the middle.
Thatcher had LOTS of questions about Jesus on the cross.
I'm talking A LOT!

So there was this church, a bunch of mostly junky shops and walking around in 100 degree heat.
Back to the resort we went but our ride was a bit sketchy as you can see. To get to the town we took a taxi. To get home, we got on this school bus that the town people directed us to.
Sketchy bus ride indeed!
We made it! MUCH better to stay at your resort.
Back to our room to find this towel cutie!
Headed back to the pool!
Look how blonde and GREEN Samantha's hair was turning.
Poolside Pina Coladas
Pancho the Royal Solaris mascot.
The swim-up bar was nice and convenient.
Lunch.
Cabo Sunset
The show on our last night was put on by locals from the nearby town.
These two were best of friends for the time we were there.
Hanna, Frankie and Sam
Thatch was OUT again.
It's amazing how many pictures you take of your kids when they fall asleep in your arms.
Samantha's purchase from the Mexican vendors that set up little shops on our last night. "Barbie" attached to a parachute.
Check out Thatch the next morning, slept in his clothes from the night before but VERY excited that we didn't forget to get him a superhero attached to a parachute.
One last morning of swimming.
The resort was preparing for an outdoor karaoke party. Um, seriously?! This happens on the day we leave? If only they knew how good I was at karaoke ;)
On our way to eat lunch before heading to the airport they were having a birthday party for Pancho.
They had everyone on their entertainment staffed dressed as a character.
The Mexican versions of these characters had us laughing pretty hard. Dora looks like she has seen better days.
Jessie looks hypnotized.
Pooh Bear looked a bit evil.
One last hurrah with the ice cream!
Goodbye Pancho and Royal Solaris!
Still limboing even at the airport.
We ordered every snack off the inflight menu.
And watched a lady try to stuff her over-sized sombrero in the overhead bin. There's always someone....
Now back to reality, school was starting!
